11:30 am – 12:15 am MEDICAL STAFF PEER REVIEW CONFIDENTIALITY: WHITHER EVIDENCE CODE SECTION 1157? THE “RIGHT TO PRIVACY” TO THE RESCUE!

Medical staff peer review has long enjoyed the confidentiality protections provided by Evidence Code Section 1157. While that statute is not the almost impenetrable barrier it once was, the California Constitution’s “Right to Privacy” may help to fill the gaps.
