- Identify Medical Staff Bylaws provisions that undermine the Medical Staff.
- Identify common gaps within Medical Staff Bylaws.
- Develop strategies for addressing these issues.

Objectives: this presentation will help attendees:- Identify the state and federal laws relevant to peer review hearings.
- Learn how recent case law affects peer review hearings.
- Learn how peer review hearings have evolved over the years.
- Understand the role of Medical Staff Administration in peer review hearings.
- Develop strategies for promoting efficient peer review hearings.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: The presentation method for this activity will be didactic with a Q&A period and will be evaluated by each participant at the conclusion of the lecture. The activity content is targeted towards Medi-cal Staff Services Professionals, VPMAs, Medical Directors, Physician Leadership and healthcare professionals involved with licensure survey and hospital accreditation compliance.
