Position Overview:

Manages the credentialing and privileging activities of the Professional Staff and Allied Health Staff in accordance with the Professional Staff Bylaws and policies, regulatory agency requirements and state and federal laws.

Manages the Professional Staff Support Services, Library, Medical Education, and Audio-Visual staffs.  Oversees the implementation of the continuing medical education program for the Professional Staff according to the guidelines set forth by the California Medical Association (CMA), Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Institute for Medical Quality (IMQ) and the Joint Commission.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience in a Professional Staff Office performing credentialing and privileging functions.
  • HS Diploma
  • Weekly/Monthly travel to attend meetings within Bay Area. 
  • Frequent travel throughout Sutter system for meeting attendance.
  • On-call/standby availability for urgent credentialing issues that arise.
  • PM or weekend shift availability for urgent credentialing issues that arise.

Preferred:

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist - CPCS
  • Non ClinicalCPMSM - Cert Prof Med Svcs Mgmt
  • Associate's Degree
