  CANCELED: CAMSS 49th Annual Education Forum 

  After much thought and deliberation by the CAMSS Board regarding the escalating impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), CAMSS has ultimately decided to cancel the 49^th Annual CAMSS Educational Forum in San Francisco. In light of the CDC, California Department of Public Health, and World Health Organization recommendations to limit or cancel events with greater than 250 attendees we feel as though we would be remiss in not canceling. Although we are sad/disappointed that a 49^th year tradition will not be happening, we feel it is in the best interest of the health and welfare of our members, vendors, speakers, and staff to take this significant action.

   

  As an organization we must listen to the experts and recognize that while this will be a big inconvenience, in the long run CAMSS will be stronger for it. We realize that some of you may have already registered and paid for your conference or may have submitted a check for payment.  CAMSS will refund any payments we have received from our members.  If you received free conference registration from last year’s forum, we will honor that free registration for our next conference.  Additionally, if you have already booked your hotel rooms, please contact the hotel to cancel.

   

  The CAMSS Board is committed to our mission of providing education to our members. Recognizing that many of you rely on the Annual Educational Forum to obtain your CE’s for recertification, we will be working on alternative Continuing Education programs.  There is ongoing discussion as to whether we will host the conference at a later date, but right now we do not have an answer.  However, we will provide additional updates in the coming weeks after the CAMSS Board has had an opportunity to explore how to best meet the educational needs of our members.
