JOB SUMMARY
The Credentialing & Quality Analyst works independently under the general supervision of the Manager, Credentialing, Quality & Compliance. The position is responsible for coordinating various aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging processes for the Student Health Center (SHC) Clinical and dental providers who provide patient care at the SHC. The incumbent is responsible for analyzing and maintaining current data for each provider in a credential file and credentialing database in accordance with UCOP, UC Irvine, and AAAHC accrediting agency protocols & guidelines, and is responsible for ensuring timely renewal of licenses and certifications.

The position provides high level administrative and analytical support to the Manager, Credentialing, Quality & Compliance. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the functions of the Quality Management & Improvement Program, including tasks related to provider peer review, quality improvement, risk management, patient satisfaction, accreditation, and compliance. The incumbent manages complex administrative clinical calendars, analyzes complex data sets and prepares and/or revises a wide variety of materials. The incumbent attends various clinical and administrative committees and meetings and assures follow-up, as needed. The incumbent is required to analyze large amounts of sensitive and confidential data. Will act on behalf of the department manager in manager's absence and may also represent the department at various meetings and committees as appropriate or designated.

Salary: Hourly $23.58 - $32.06
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Career Position.
Although this position's schedule is M-F and during traditional work hours, weekends or non-traditional work hours may be required for special projects or busy times of the year, or when strict deadlines must be met. In the case of extended hours, this position may be required to work those hours.

REQUIRED
BA/BS with (3) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience managing physician/provider credentialing in a medical group, hospital, or insurance plan environment.
Knowledge of current state, federal, and AAHC accreditation requirements for credentialing of clinical staff.
Knowledge of processing National Practitioner Data Bank and Healthcare Integrity and Protection Data Bank for physician compliance.
Demonstrated knowledge of all Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
Superior and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to compose, edit, and proofread correspondence and reports.|
Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment of rapidly changing priorities and frequent interruptions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of campus administration.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters/information with tact and discretion.
Superior organization skills.
