Responsibilities
As the Manager of Santa Monica Medical Staff Office, you will partner with medical staff leadership to achieve medical staff self-governance goals in accordance with accrediting/regulatory standards, physician needs, and the overall health system. You will deliver best practice administrative management for all aspects of the medical staff organization. You will:

  • Oversee Medical Staff Office operations
  • Implement comprehensive credentialing and privileging programs
  • Control and manage the administrative support of governance documents
  • Plan and manage an effective medical staff meeting management system
  • Administer the independent Medical Staff Treasury
  • Supervise the orientation of new medical staff members and leaders
  • Manage the ER Call Panel
  • Implement organizational performance improvement priorities
  • Participate in quality studies through data and dashboard data collection
  • Strive to continuously improve structure, system and outcomes


Qualifications
We’re seeking a self-motivated, results-driven strategic thinker with:

  • CPMSM and/or CPCS Certification
  • A Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of college
  • Five or more years of healthcare experience
  • At least two years of management/supervisory experience
  • Strong critical thinking and judgment
  • Proven technical credentialing skills
  • Understanding of diverse, complex systems within a medical staff services department
  • Computer proficiency
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze data, make recommendations, and implement plans
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
