In this vital position, you will work with medical staff leadership to achieve staff self-governance goals within the framework of accrediting and regulatory agency standards, physician needs, and the overall UCLA Health system. We’re looking to you to deliver best practice administrative management for all aspects of the medical staff organization. You will:

  • Manage practitioner competency systems
  • Support medical staff leadership
  • Oversee medical staff services department operations
  • Ensure medical staff and hospital collaboration
  • Supervise, guide, and direct staff
  • Consult with the Director on staffing issues and disciplinary actions
  • Update Director and CMO on medical staff actions
  • Develop changes to the medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations
  • Collaborate on UCLA Health system projects as needed


We’re seeking a proven leader with:

  • Related Bachelor’s degree
  • CPMSM preferred
  • Five or more years of healthcare experience
  • At least two years of management/supervisory experience
  • Credentialing technical skills
  • Solid background in credentialing, privileging, performance improvement, database management, governance, and regulatory compliance within a medical staff services setting
  • Proficiency with relevant software programs
  • Passion for leveraging technology in all operational functions
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Sound judgment, diplomacy, discretion, and tact
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
